The Psychology of Thoughts We Shouldn't Have |
Welcome to the mental jungle we all secretly inhabit.
Where overthinking is an Olympic sport, childhood traumas still echo, and confidence is a shape-shifter.
Where sex, shame, love, fear, ego, and the endless pursuit of “being enough” collide in chaotic beauty.
This isn’t therapy.
This is you, unfiltered.
Hosted by Katara Lilith from EliKay.Space — part philosopher, part psychologist, part rebel soul — this podcast explores the raw, real, brutally honest inner monologues we all have but rarely admit. From toxic relationships to self-love, from confidence to kink, from existential dread to the audacity of healing — nothing is off-limits.
We think it.
She says it.

What kind of woman actually captures a man's attention? Is it the woman who lowers her eyes, twirls her hair and hopes he'll make the first move? Or is it the woman who can hold eye contact, ask the right questions, create curiosity, and leave him thinking about her long after the conversation ends? Because here's the truth most women never hear. Attraction isn't created by looking available. Attraction is created by creating an experience. And that's exactly what we're talking about today. Not manipulation, not games, not pretending to be someone you're not. We're talking about real flirting. The kind that creates curiosity, builds chemistry, and helps you figure out whether someone is actually worth your time before you invest your heart. Before making this video, I got curious and typed one word into a search engine. Flirting. The results were fascinating. Is flirting cheating? Is flirting wrong? Is flirting manipulative? It's amazing how many people treat flirting like it's something dangerous. But flirting isn't a crime, and it isn't deception. At its core, flirting is simply communication. It's how two people explore possibility. It's how we test the waters before deciding whether we want to dive deeper. Every relationship you've ever had started this way. Not with certainty, but with curiosity. You didn't instantly know whether someone belonged in your life, you discovered it. And that's where flirting lives. It's the first chapter, not the whole story. Think of it as a movie trailer before buying the ticket, a sample before purchasing the bottle, a chance to learn whether there's actually something worth exploring. The biggest mistake people make is rushing ahead and imagining a future before they've even learned who the other person is. Healthy attraction doesn't rush, it explores, it observes, it asks questions, and curiosity is one of the most attractive qualities a woman can possess. One of the most powerful things you can learn as a woman is that attraction isn't always about the other person. Sometimes it's about where you are emotionally, mentally, and even physically in your own life. Have you ever looked at a man and wondered, why am I suddenly attracted to him? He's not even my usual type. Most of us have experienced that at some point. The more self-aware you become, the more you'll start recognizing your own patterns. Sometimes you're responding to genuine compatibility and real chemistry. Other times you're responding to a particular season of life, loneliness, excitement, confidence, a need for connection, or simply the emotional state you're in at that moment. And there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, becoming aware of it is incredibly valuable because it helps you separate temporary attraction from long-term compatibility. Just because someone creates excitement doesn't necessarily mean they're right for you. The women who understand themselves well are much less likely to confuse chemistry with connection, and that's an important distinction. Now let's talk about compliments, because this is an area where so many women unintentionally sabotage themselves. Someone says you look beautiful today, and before they've even finished the sentence, the response is Oh, this old dress or I barely slept last night or I didn't even try. For some reason, many of us feel uncomfortable simply receiving a compliment. But think about it this way. A compliment is a gift. When someone gives you a gift, you don't argue with them about whether they should have brought it, you receive it. The same applies here. One of the most attractive responses you can give is simply thank you, that's very kind of you. No explanation, no self criticism, no attempt to convince the other person they're wrong, just confidence and appreciation. Confident women don't feel the need to fight every compliment, because they understand that accepting kindness doesn't make them arrogant, it simply makes them gracious. And while we're on the subject, here's something many women don't fully realize. Men need compliments too. In fact, most men receive far fewer compliments than women do. They're often expected to make the first move, carry the conversation, create attraction, and handle rejection. Yet very few people stop to genuinely notice them. That's why a thoughtful compliment can have a surprisingly powerful impact. I'm not talking about cheesy pickup lines or exaggerated flattery. I'm talking about genuine observations. Maybe you admire his sense of humour, the way he carries himself, the passion he has when talking about something he loves, his taste in books, his style, or simply the way he treats other people. When you notice details, you stand out. Most people only notice appearances, very few people notice character. And people remember the people who make them feel seen. Now let's talk about another flirting principle that almost nobody discusses leave a little mystery. One of the most powerful communication tools in storytelling is something called a cliffhanger. It's the reason people stay up far too late watching just one more episode. The story leaves them wanting to know what happens next. The same principle works beautifully in conversation. Instead of telling someone your entire life story in a single interaction, leave room for discovery. You might say there's actually a funny story behind that, but I'll tell you another time. Or one day I'll tell you why that place means so much to me. You're not playing games, and you're not withholding information to manipulate someone. You're simply allowing the relationship to unfold naturally. Curiosity is one of the strongest drivers of attraction, because people become invested when they feel there's more to discover. Attraction thrives when there's space for discovery. Now let's move into body language, because your body often communicates before you ever say a word. When you're genuinely enjoying someone's company, your body naturally becomes softer and more open. You slow down a little. You maintain eye contact slightly longer. You lean in when they're speaking, you turn your body toward them. You become more present. The key word here is natural. Real flirting isn't acting. It's not performing some exaggerated version of femininity. It's simply allowing your interest to become visible. That's why the most attractive women aren't always the loudest, the most dramatic, or the most attention-seeking women in the room. They're often the women who feel comfortable in their own skin. That comfort creates confidence, and confidence creates magnetism. When people feel safe, appreciated, and genuinely understood around you, you've already created a stronger connection than most people ever do. And finally, let's talk about touch. Not aggressive touch, not forced touch, not trying to manufacture chemistry that isn't there. Just natural moments of connection. A brief touch while sharing a laugh. A gentle touch on the arm during conversation. Small gestures that communicate comfort and warmth. Healthy flirting isn't about pushing boundaries. It's about creating opportunities for connection while respecting the other person's comfort level. Every interaction gives the other person the chance to move closer, stay where they are, or create more distance. That's what makes healthy flirting so powerful. It isn't about convincing someone to like you, it's about discovering whether a connection already exists. Flirting isn't a performance, it's an exploration. It's two people quietly trying to answer the same question. Is there something here worth discovering? And when you approach it with curiosity instead of pressure, confidence instead of desperation, and openness instead of expectation, everything changes.
